| Week 17 |
| Nailsworth Phoenix C relentlessly continue to push forward toward what must be the division title with another 10-0 win over Nailsworth B. The home side were unable to take any game past three sets in finding the task very difficult. Cam & Dursley B also pulled clear of the pack winning 9-1 against Nailsworth Phoenix E after Joe Browning and Harry Hogan were unbeaten. Jane Leigh was able to take a consolation point for Phoenix in a close match with Bev Browning. The match between Woodchester E and Forest Green D was heavily influenced by Woodchester continuing to have difficulty in fielding a full side and went down 6-4. Emily and Oliver Philp collected two each for Woodchester but neither was able to get past Neville Nelder who when combining with Rik Cross claimed the doubles and aided by the handicap were able to win the match. |
| Week 16 |
| This week leaders Nailsworth Phoenix C were pitched against their D side but no quarter was given as they powered to an emphatic 10-0 victory. The B side managed to take four games to four sets but were unable to mount a serious challenge. Cam & Dursley B were able to stay in touch with the leaders by taking a 10-0 win over a Woodchester E team who have struggled to field a full side regularly and again were one man short. Frampton D collected some useful points with an 8-2 away win at Forest Green D. An unbeaten evening for Steve Preece and two each from Peter Seville and Chris Philp rounded a good team performance for the visitors with Forest Greens Richard Wright playing some good table tennis in taking two points for the home side. |
| Week 15 |
| Cam & Dursley B were able to cement their second place position with an away trip to Frampton D and and were rarely troubled as the 9-1 scoreline suggests. Harry Hogan and Joe Browning took comfortable maximums and with Bev Browning collecting two more the result was never in doubt. Framptons main threat came from Glanville Watkins was able to wrestle a five set win in a tight match and prevent the whitewash. Nailsworth B picked up valuable points beating Forest Green D 7-3. A good all round team performace saw two wins for each of the Nailsworth side but none was able to get the better of Neville Nelder who with some strong play was to finish unbeaten for Forest green. Nailsworth Phoenix E were able to go home after winning 8-2 at Woodchester E who disappointingly were only able to field two players. Rich Brown was unbeatean but had to fight hard to take a tough full length match with Oliver Philp who had previous been victorious in the same type of game with Peter Skinner. Emily Philp was able to collect another for Woodchester but with Phoenix able to take two more the handicap proved too much for the home side. |
| Week 14 |
| Struggling bottom of the table Forest Green D were once again on the back foot when only being able to field two players in their 10-0 defeat against Nailsworth Phoenix D. Although putting up a brave fight only Julien Crowther came close to a win when going down in a five set tussle with Jim Davis. With Andy Hammond and John Catterall easing through their matches the result was never in doubt. Frampton D visited Nailsworth Phoenix E and came away with a 10-0 victory with Peter Seville, Steve Preece and Glanville Watkins all being unbeaten. For Pheonix Peter Skinner was the main threat being involved in two very close five set matches and narrowly losing the latter 12-10. The doubles saw him combine with Les Hanley to again keep the home side trying to avoid the whitewash only to be foiled in another full length game. |
| Week 13 |
| With only one match going beyond three sets there was an air of inevitability when leaders Nailsworth Phoenix C met bottom side Forest Green D this week. Phoenix were simply too strong and the 10-0 result pushed them further ahead of the chasing pack and at this stage its difficult to see them being overtaken. Cam & Dursley B took on their closest rivals Nailsworth Phoenix D and were able to close out a comfortable 7-3 win with a good team performance. Harry Hogan was unbeaten and his team mates picked up three more while John Catterall and Andy Hammond scored the points for Phoenix. Nailsworth B were involved in a very close match with Nailsworth Phoenix C with neither side able to dominate the proceedings. Nick Marshall was in good Form for B side with a maximum but with every player collecting at least one game Phoenix were able to take the doubles and force a 5-5 draw. With the experience of Mike Shilton the deciding factor Woodchester E were able to collect the second consecutive win by 6-4 over Frampton D. His three wins and another from each of his side set up the crucial doubles and saw them shade the match 12-10 in the final set and with it the victory. Two games each for Glanville Watkins and Peter Seville had kept Frampton in the match but proved to be their final scores of the night. |
| Week 12 |
| Division 4: Leaders Nailsworth Phoenix met Cam & Dursley B in a table top clash that turned out to be very one sided which the 9-1 scoreline showed. The strength of play from Kevin Pride and Laurence Manley with maximums for Phoenix emphasised their superiority and only Harry Hogan was able to prevent the whitewash in capturing Cams & Dursleys consolation. The Nailsworth Phoenix D and E sides came together in an interesting match where John Catterall was to remain unbeaten for the D side and help his side to a 5-5 draw. Richard Brown and Les Hanley with two each had kept the match finely balanced before securing the doubles to leave honours even. Woodchester E pulled themselves from the bottom of the table with their first victory of the season winning 6-4 against Nailsworth B. Billy Shilton starred for Woodchester being unbeaten and aided by his teamates secured the win before the doubles was played. Points for Nailsworth came from Nick Marshall with two and another from Phil Sims with the Nailsworth boys taking a five set doubles win. |
| Week 11 |
| Division 4: Woodchester E visited Nailsworth Phoenix D this week and came away with a very creditable draw. Andy Hammond was the player of the night for Phoenix remaining unbeaten but Billy Shilton and Oliver Philp put in some gritty performances to win two games each and force the match into a doubles decider. The pair were able to shade a very tight five setter for a 5-5 draw after Cliff Jordan and Matt Hawkins claimed one each for the home side. Frampton D defeated Nailsworth B 7-3 to stay placed in the middle of the pack led by a maximum from Glanville Watkins and three more from his team mates. All Nailsworth players collected a point each to keep the match competitive but were unable to prevent Frampton taking the final doubles. |
| Week 10 |
| A 9-1 success over Woodchester E enabled Nailsworth Phoenix C to cement their position at the top of the table this week. Woodchester were always struggling against the strength of the leaders but were able to pick up a consolation when Emily Philp won a tight game with Kerry Gill. Cam & Dursley B continue to press the leaders following a comprehensive 10-0 win against Forest Green D. Rik Cross came closest to saving the whitewash when despite being two sets up was shaded out by Bev Browning. Andy Hammond and John Catterall were the spearhead of Nailsworth Phoenix D's visit to Frampton D. Their unbeaten evening was the backbone of an 8-2 success with strong support from Cliff Jordan. Glanville Watkins collected the sole singles success for Frampton and combined with Chris Philp for the doubles to collect another welcome point. |
| Week 9 |
| Division 4: Nailsworth Phoenix C 's emphatic 10-0 mauling of Frampton D saw them take over at the top of the tableand open up a five point gap. Frampton were only able to take three matches past the three set point. Despite again only being able to field two players Nailsworth B were still able to collect a creditable 5-5 draw with local neighbours Nailsworth Phoenix D. Mike May was the player of the night being unbeaten and with the help of Dave Watson adding another the two were able to combine and keep the match equal by winning the doubles. Nailsworth Phoenix E fought out a tough match with Forest Green D when edging to 6-4 victory. Two points each for Rich Brown and Jane Leigh kept the Phoenix score moving with Peter Skinner picking up another but none could halt the inform Mike Kilcooley for the Green. His three and one for Rik Cross meant a crucial doubles but Phoenix were not to be denied. |
| Week 8 |
| Division 4: Cam and Dursley B kept their top spot with an 8-2 victory over visitors Nailsworth Phoenix E . Strong performances from Harry Hogan and Joe Browning saw them remain unbeaten and only Peter Skinner and Les Hanley with one each were able to trouble the leaders. Nailsworth Phoenix C stay firmly in contention after a comprehensive 9-1 win over struggling Nailsworth B for whom only Mike May was able to stem the tide with single point for his side. Laurence Manley and James Hunter gave little away in taking all their games with Kerry Gill offering some solid support. Forest Green D took a 6-4 victory and with it some much needed points when Neville Nelder proved too strong for the Woodchester E players and remained unbeaten. Billy Shilton held up the Woodchester challege with two fine wins with Emily Philp adding the third before Billy was joined by Ollie Philp to take a close five set doubles. |
| Week 7 |
| Leaders Cam & Dursley B were surprising held to a 5-5 draw against a two player Woodchester E side. The home side of Billy with one win and the experienced Mike Shilton who in winning all his three left the result hanging on the doubles which they took to ensure parity. Nailsworth Phoenix C keep up the pressure at the top with an emphatic 10-0 defeat of clubmates Phoenix D. Although several games had close scores the D side never really threatened with their opponents aways in the accendency. An interesting match occurred when Frampton D moved into third place when taking a 7 -3 victory over a two man forest Green D side. Frampton fieded a side totalling 215 years in age !! - Could this be the oldest team ever to grace the league ? This is one for the anoraks I believe. |
| Week 6 |
| Division 4: Cam & Dursley B head the division winning 10-0 against a two player Frampton D team. Peter Seville came the closest to putting up resistance for Frampton but the handicap was always going to be difficult. Forest Green D picked up their first win of the season defeating Nailsworth B 7-3 spearheaded by Neville Nelder winning all his games. Richard Wright and Rik Cross added three more and combined to take the doubles. A strong reply by Mike May and another from Dave Watson kept Nailsworths interest in the match. Nailsworth Phoenix E also had their first win 6-4 but were made to work hard in a tight match with Woodchester E. Peter Skinner led the way for Phoenix and two more from his team mates took the outcome to a deciding doubles which they comfortably won to seal the match. |

| Division 4: High flying Nailsworth Phoenix D came up against tough competition from bottom side Forest Green D and could only manage a 5-5 draw with veteran Neville Nelder in determined mood claiming all his games with strong support from Richard Wright. With all Phoenix players picking up points and claiming the doubles parity was the order of the night. Six matches going the full distance meant the match between Nailsworth B and Cam & Dursley B was something of a marathon with Cam eventually running out winners 7-3. Harry Hogan taking all his three plus others from his team mates completed their scoring with Mike May (2) and Nick Marshall (1) taking wins for Nailsworth. |

| Division 4: The match between Woodchester E and Frampton D this week contained the usual competitive edge with the added spice of family rivalry when Ollie and Emily Philp were pitted against Chris. Maximums for Frampton from Peter Seville and Glanville Watkins ensured Frampton would win 8-2 with Chris beating grand daughter Emily but going down to Ollie in a tight five setter to even it up for the younger generation. Cam & Dursley B completed a comfortable 8-2 win over Nailsworth Phoenix D with only Andy Hammond able to make any impression for the visitors in two tight games. Harry Hogan was in good form with an unbeaten evening for the home side.. |
| Week 3 |
| Div 4 : Nailsworth Phoenix C move to the top of the table with a comfortable 8-2 win over visitors Cam & Dursley B. Laurence Manley and James Hunter came through unbeaten and only Harry Hogan and Bev Browning were able to make any inroads with a point each. Nailsworth Phoenix D and E were paired together this week and the outcome was uncertain until the final doubles games with the D side just taking it to record a 6-4 win. Andy Hammond had proved the difference taking maximum points leaving a difficult match for his clubmates. Another equally tough match was in store when Nailsworth B played host to Woodchester E and fought out a 5-5 draw. Mike Mays maximum held Nailsworth together but two singles wins each for Billy Shilton and Ollie Philp plus another from Emily Philp had meant the doubles was crucial. Dave Watson joined Mike in the final encounter and just took the game to ensure the points were shared. |
| Week 2 |
| Div 4 : Nailsworth Phoenix C comfortably overcame clubmates Nailsworth Phoenix E 9-1 where the team of Lawrence Manley, James Hunter and Kerry Gill proved too strong. Les Hanley was involved in some close matches for the E side and managed to collect a consolation point for the home side. Frampton D entertained a two player side in Nailsworth B and were able to take the match 6-4. Dave Watson and Mike May made it difficult for them with three points and the doubles keeping them in the match. Woodchester E picked up their first points of the season against Nailsworth Phoenix D when Emily Philp and Billy Shilton took a game each and combined to win the doubles. Andy Hammond and John Catterall were unbeaten for Phoenix with their final point coming from Matt Hawkins. |

| Div 4: Nailsworth Phoenix C made the best possible start comprehensively beating Woodchester E 10 – 0 and putting them to the top of the table after the first weeks fixtures. For Woodchester the team of Billy Shilton, Oli and Emily Philp saw several games going close but were just unable to take them. Cam & Dursley B came through their match with Forest Green D by 9 – 1 helped along the way by the home team disappointingly only being able to field two players. Neville Nelder picked up the consolation for Forest Green. Nailsworth Phoenix D claimed a 7 – 3 victory over Frampton D with Andy Hammond and John Catterall proving too strong for the visitors and remaining unbeaten. A point each for the Frampton team of Peter Seville, Glanville Watkins and Chris Philp ensured that they didn’t leave empty handed. |
